Welcome to the JASSY blog.

I have many years experience in web and application development, predominantly using Microsoft technologies (ASP, SQL Server, VB).  In addition, I have been working in data warehousing and business intelligence (using SQL Server, Microsoft Reporting Services and Cognos) since 2002.

I am currently working for a large HR & Payroll provider within their International Payroll division.  This gives me great exposure to a range of businesses with international operations, ranging from small business with less than 50 employees right up to large corporates with over 3000 employees.

I have been fortunate enough to travel to many places, including the United States, South America, much of Europe and parts of Africa.  These travels have meant that I have visited many cities and met a lot of local people.

On a personal note, I am happily married with a wonderful daughter, 2 cats and a nice house.

I decided to create this blog to share my experiences and knowledge with other people in the hope that I could provide some insight into work related matters and some great tips for families looking for holiday ideas and general day-to-day advice.
